"Waipiata" meaning glistening water is in the Mahoe settlement, 9kms south of Taumarunui in the rural heart of New Zealand's North Island.

Fly fishing at the doorstep or within 1 hours easy drive to the central volcanic plateau lakes and rivers including Lake Taup0 and the Tongariro River.

Some waters can only be fished seasonally.

Beautifully Designed

The lodge comprises of 4 double rooms (2 with ensuite), a bunk room with 4 bunks, commercial grade kitchen and appliances, 2 further separate toilets. The image is of the designed 'riverbed fireplace' that is one of the 3 fireplaces.

Spacious Grounds

This is a luxury self contained lodge in a 7 acre private setting on the banks of the Whanganui River which hosted the 2008 world fly fishing championships.
